My name is Anna. I am moving from NYC to Lyon to join my husband, who is French, once I am approved for my visa. We will be curating art and music events as alone+together.

I would love to meet other expats, new to Lyon or who have lived in the city for years, especially interested in food, yoga, art and music!

You may want to consider joining On Va Sortir. It's a cost free association of people that like to go out with others for cultural, social and athletic events:OnVaSortir! Lyon - Le Site - Accueil - It's a great way to meet people. Search the site for English speaking events or propose one of your own.

Ladies, if you join I recommend you state you are in a relation to avoid unwanted attention (That is unless you want it).

One other thought - Lyon has a large and very active AVF (Accueil des Villes Françaises), which can be a good opportunity to meet both French people and other expats in the area. Like many French clubs and associations, they do shut down for the summer, but it's only a couple weeks before they open up again: avflyonrhone - Espace de communication de l'AVF Lyon Rhône
