I live close to Bordeaux (about 35 minutes by car) My Husband is French and my son is 7 months old, I am learning French right now however I would love to gather with other American women and our children if you need any tips on Bordeaux or the surrounding areas and are interested in meeting I would love to chat..

Myself and some others (sorry none of them are from America) are meeting on Friday 11ish in the Jardin Public. I know your little man it too young for playing there but if it suits you stop by for a chat.
If that doesn't suit and you would like to meet check in here again we usually post our dates up here.

It looks like you'll have beautiful weather for the park on Friday! I'm afraid I work on Fridays, but am usually free Wednesday afternoons, if that ever suits anyone else.

MichelleTillard, I think I live on your side of Bordeaux. I'm in Pompignac, which is just to the east, in the direction of Libourne. I'm not American either :-), but would be pleased to meet up if there's a nice park or something in the middle of where we both live. I have a daughter who is 18 months old.

Hope you all enjoyed the bank holiday and the sunshine. I have just got back from London, where it was freezing cold and rainy, so the sunshine yesterday was a wonderful welcome home!

I am wondering what happened with this group of mommies whom were having their meetings in Bordeaux? Since May I haven't seen any post. Maybe I've been doing something wrong (it's possible, as I am not a big forum person) but I would be happy to join for one of your playdates!!

Sorry things have been quiet lately because of holidays and stuff. A few of us are planning on meeting next week maybe Tuesday, I'll post the exact details once they are agreed. Hope that will suit you, D

Hi, I thought so... we just came back Sunday too.. So I will follow the news, and if I can I will join (as school haven't started yet, with all my kids ;-)

We plan to meet in the playground in the small park near Meriadeck Shopping Centre, its hard to find on map so these are the easiest directions,

Take tram A to the meriadeck stop, go into the meriadeck shopping centre, go upstairs and then head towards the non-food section of the large supermarket; Auchan, walk past the check outs on your right, and go out the doors in front of you and you will see the park, the playground is in middle of park surround by trees so loads of shade
