Default Baggage delivery services in Paris

Hi

Does anyone know of a baggage delivery service that will collect bags at CDG and deliver them to a residence address in another French city?

All the Googling turns up is door-to-door international services which are unbelievably expensive ($950 for two 50lb suitcases!)

Cheers

David

As I think I mentioned elsewhere, "convenience" is not a French concept. I was thinking that I don't believe I've ever heard of a baggage delivery service here. (Actually, I'd settle for a van service to the airport from where I live - south of Paris. Taxis are amazingly expensive, and the only other option is the RER, which is a pain with luggage.)
Cheers,
Bev

Hi,

Guess what - a bit more Googling and I found a company called "Luggage Forward" - just need to use the right version of English

Anyway, they will door-to-door two 50lb suitcases (Fallbrook CA to Vannes 56000) for less than $500 in 3 - 5 business days

Given the aggro of trying to do this with our infirmities, seems like a deal.

Cheers

David

Hi,

I checked the website - but it only appears to work from home-to-home. I could not see anyway to have them take the bags at the airport and deliver them to our address - must be same day as well.

I'll contact them to see if it will work.

Thanks

David

Let me know what you find out for the SNCF. It would be the best solution if you could drop it off somewhere at the gare SNCF and have it delivered.

Dear
Sorry to ask, I doubt the delivery service would be able to collect luggage from the airport unless it is traveling air freight and not passenger lugage.
You would need to be present there and hand it over to the agents, if the luggaes is registered under your names.

I have googled with the following words
services + bagages + transfert + paris
and found a number of agents.

Best

Jean-Louis

Yes, but they all offer services just in Paris (airport to airport, airport to town) I need airport to Vannes. I did find SNCF has a volunteer accompnaying service but they never respond to email or phone call.

Default taxis

In the business sector, we all use taxis to deliver luggages. They are ok 99% of the time. Some will still try to cheat you.

best
