Default Lake Fishing Business in France

Hi all,
My partner and I are looking to start a Carp fishing business in Northern France and I am in the process of trying to research it all and pull together a business plan but where to start?
Cn anyone help at all. How to get permits? Banks for loans? Water rates? Electricity suppliers? How to go about getting planning permission?
The list goes on!
Any info would be very much appreciated, my head is just spinning!!!

As giant panda says, brush up your French. Your best source of information is going to be through the local government at several levels - mairie, departement and possibly up to the appropriate ministry (either Sports or Agriculture, I would guess, or possibly the Tourism people).

Start with the French Public Service website here: SERVICE PUBLIC - Particuliers It should lead you to all the links you need at least to get started - but you will have to do your homework in French.
Cheers,
Bev

Hi!

For you type of object, may be you should contact the SAFER which is a French State body, which buys and sells agricultural land.

Safer : prix des terres, aménagement et développement de l'espace rural - Accueil

but once you have a potential object, you need to go the the local Mairie and have a look at the

POS plan d'occupattion des sols

PLU plan local d'urbanisme

( it is either or ) to see what you can build on the land.

Further you need to get complete information on any "baux ruraux or bail rural " on part of whole of the land. It concerns land which is rented to farmers etc.

The rulings here are develish - and that question may sink a project.

Here all sorts of questions around it.

Bail rural

In certain cases you can find that you can be bound for some 18 years.

Yours,

giantpanda
