Default Teaching English

Hi all, I am just looking for a bit of advice....hope u can help!
I have just qualified in Ireland as a French and English secondary school teacher. I have 2 years experience teaching 11-18 yr olds.
I also have a TEFL certificate.
The thing is, I would love to spend some time teaching in France!
I tried to get onto a teaching assistant program but i missed the deadline by 2 days
I would love to find a teaching position in Montpellier (or close to Montpellier!)
However, Im not sure where to even start!
Would it even be possible to find a job for Aug/Sep at such short notice?

It sounds like you're looking to teach English in the public schools - which could be something of a problem.

Having both TEFL and some teaching experience, though, would make you a good candidate for teaching English in a private language school or possibly in a private international or British school, though chances are they would have filled any open positions for the coming Rentrée already. (France pretty much shuts down in July and August.)
Cheers,
Bev
