Default Bringing cats to France from Malaysia

Hey guys,
We'll be arriving in France in June and are getting our cats ready. We were wondering if anyone has brought cats or dogs from Malaysia into the EU? I know that they have to be tested for the Nipah virus and I've found a testing facility in Ipoh (from the Malaysian government). I was wondering (hoping) if anyone here knows if this testing facility is recognized by the EU. I've talked to the French embassy in Penang and Kuala Lumpur but they don't know much and after numerous phone calls I have given up on them.
Are there any French institutes that you are aware of that I can contact? I have contacted the Pasteur Institute but they don't know either.
All help would be very much appreciated.

Kathleen

We recently brought our dog from Singapore to France. We used an agent but I know the agent checked a few things with the French Ministry of Agriculture. I would start there.

Thank you. I've called the Ministry of Agriculture yesterday but no reply yet. I'll try again tomorrow.
