Glocken was merely giving his opinion , responses on an open forum should be taken at face value , should all people responding be told to 'Take a jump ", there would be NO forum , please give the same respect to him as you are suggesting from him , at least he made the effort to respond , words coming on a different slant can sometimes also set the grey matter also taking a different angle to view the problem at hand .

Interesting mine is a lecture but all those thrashing the woman and other female species is...? What would you call that ? Why does the shoe fit you all of a sudden?

Her compensation ? At least one third .

Please note he said he wants to sell and move on with his life but she doesn't?
Doesn't what?..... not sell?.... or not let him move on with his life?

I take my "lecture" back if all the unnecessary thrashing of woman on this topic is taken back .

Legally speaking as far as I know if you both have your names on the title deeds then you own the properties 50% equal shares.

Morally speaking if you have explained your wishes rationally to this lady and she is a supposed friend then she should respect your decision and move out of the properties. Although it takes two to tango and if you are her friend then upon sale of the one or both of the properties you should give her 50%.

As the house(s) was/were essentially gifts, then you should not really be in a position to just take them back willy nilly. If you send a friend a birthday present then one day you are no longer friends do you take it back from them? No of course not, so explain your feelings rationally to her and come to an agreement as friends.

There is no doubt that this is true. However, all of the information hasn't been presented and even though the words are coming from a different slant it is pure speculation. But rant away if you must because it's an open forum, yet has nothing to do with the thread. Just appears as if you one felt good about reading their own words while standing on a soapbox. Sure I've been guilty of this too, but before I post I pause and think about it and at times just delete things because they don't serve the thread topic at all. Another thread can be started on the subject if you like. You can think the guy is a tool and that's fine. But I do have to disagree with you about "there would be NO forum" line. The forum would be there, but the responses wouldn't be as long like debating what you think of the guy and conjuring up thoughts about what a saint the woman is or isn't, because we just don't know. What we do know is that he says he paid for the property and wants to sell, but can't because it's in her name too and how does he go about selling the properties. If someone asks for your thoughts on their personal lifestyle then sure it's fair game to rip them apart.

As I mentioned, what if she was doing things not faithful to him? This is the lack of information presented, thus I stand by what I wrote as saying it wasn't relative to the thread. It probably would have been best to send Vodka66 a private message letting him know what you think about him.

That is exactly correct, we don't know the details and therefore his issues with her and hers with him are irrelevant. He wondered what to do about selling the place he paid for with it being in her name. I'll say there was some thrashing, but I also read a few from the first page that hammered him and other men too.

I'm not looking to get the last word here, but your post just appeared to be a harsh on him when we don't know all of the details and wanted to throw a little support for the guy. Chances are he's probably heard this from relatives, family members, and his own conscious. So we can meet in the middle and agree to disagree.

Before i post i pause and think about it !!!! I wrote absolutely nothing about the man , his problems , nor did i give any speculation as you have done , i have no soapbox , i try not to be vindictive or speculative , what i try to do is respond to a specific post within the bounds or content of that post . I merely passed comment because he(gyloken) was castigated for his comments but you appear to feel above reproach for yours , there is no middle in this instance , you are in left field . Colin

You are correct, I'm in left field.....looking for you. Apparently you've been missing the point for a long long time. And yet another post that has nothing to do with the topic. Feel free to send me a pm and we can continue the discussion there.
