Expats in Loir-et-Cher or Eure-et-Loir?

Hello,

I am new to this site and just wanted to introduce myself. I am 40 and have been living in France since March 2007, in a small village right on the border of Loir-et-Cher and Eure-et-Loir (henceforth known as 'the sticks'). I am originally from Portland, Oregon in the U.S. and have lived in England, Germany & Canada before coming to France. I am married to a (non-English-speaking) French guy, so I had to learn French toute suite after we met, so it has been a very interesting and challenging last couple of years.

I would love to meet other English-speaking ex-pats around my age (give or take a decade ) who live in or around my area. The closest small cities near me are Vendome & Chateaudun and I am about an hour from Tours, Blois, Chartres (where I work) and Orleans.

Thanks for having this site - I have enjoyed having a look around and look forward to participating.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

I'm located about 40 minutes the other side of Chartres from where you are - not terribly practical for meeting up, at least not at the moment. But heck, we're always here online when you need us.

Feel free to jump in on any of the threads - everyone's experience is appreciated.
