I'm not from Canada, but just across the border (Seattle, WA), and have only been living here (in Lyon) for a few weeks now, but am certainly interested in meeting new people.

bonjour MichaelS:
i am from seattle too, what brings you to lyon? ive been here since the end of august, but just returned from holidays back in the 'snowy' emerald city.

if you want to do something one of these days let me know, and ive also considered organizing some kind of small gathering - it seems there are many of us here reaching out for contacts...that just made me sound like E.T....

what part of town are you staying? i am in the 1er arronddissment, juste a cote l'opera.

salut et a bientot peut etre!

Bienvenue a Lyon! I am always interested in meeting some new people, and lately it seems a bit hard to know the locals, unless you have an in...

I have been living here with my boyfriend since august, he is from here, but we've been in the US for the last 3 years. Your second paragraph sounds so freakishly similar to my thoughts on arrival a few months ago, and I have settled a bit but I am not working yet, sooo I have nothing but leisure time.

Let me know if you want to do something one of these days,

Hoku

Default Yoga in English

Hi there,
This is for anyone who is interested in taking yoga classes in English in Lyon. I am a certified yoga teacher, American, and am available late afternoons and evenings. I am able to accommodate all levels, from those who have never been on a yoga mat - no excuses for those who say they aren't flexible enough to do yoga-, to those who are looking for a more dynamic class, vinyasa-ashatanga style, as well as relaxation and meditation.
I am looking to start some small groups and private classes. Looking forward to meeting some new people!

Thanks!

Vanessa

Default yea yoga!

Hi Vanessa,
I have been dying to find a class here in Lyon! I have seen a few studios but havent gone. Before to come here I was getting into bikram and loved it, but generally have practiced vinyasa and want to start a little more intensive style, I think like ashtanga? Im not sure if ashtanga is the one where its more constant movement, which sounds cool to me. Anyway, I am very interested so please let me know if you do start a class soon, I will be there!

Default yoga!

Me too - I am also missing an intensive yoga! I like astanga and moksha and similarly active stuff.

Where do you have studio space? A small group is problem going to fit my price range better
