Carte de sejour?

Hi all,

I am coming to France in September to work as an au pair for 1 year. I have an approved one year working visa (long sejour) in my passport.

I recently heard that there is a new procedure for the carte de sejour - so we no longer need to get one of these? And if not, what do we need to do?

Any help on this would be much appreciated, thanks!!

and check out all the links posted.

The rules are still in process, so when you get here you may find you get conflicting advice. (It's part of the "French experience.") Another excellent source of info on these sorts of matters is the government site: SERVICE PUBLIC - Particuliers
