The only two year-long French courses I know of are the Language and Culture course at the Sorbonne or a long-term course at the Alliance Française - both, of course, in Paris. And both are said to be rather pricey.

I suspect that the language schools in the south rely mainly on the vacation trade - and therefore limit their programs to 2 to 8 weeks at a time.
Cheers,
Bev

Hi Bev,
Thanks for the quick reply, is there any school that you would recommend? and how much do think the tuition and the payment? do you really need to pay in full?

You'll have to google for the full information on both programs I suggested. They have excellent reputations, but it comes down to how you learn languages best. The Sorbonne and Alliance Française programs are a little grammar-intensive for me. Then again, I learned French as a child with an aural-oral program (listen and repeat) that is more like something a Berlitz would offer.

When I first came to France, I did a month of intensive French classes as the Institut Parisien - however that was 15 years ago and the school has changed hands and location since then. It was great (IMO) when I was there, but I have no idea if or how it may have changed since.
Cheers,
Bev

Hello, the CLA (centre de linguistique appliquée) in Besançon (Eastern France) has a good reputation.
Here is the link to their web site: CLA de Besançon (Université de Franche-Comté) - fr
Good luck!

I'm in the same boat as you (planning on leaving in the spring) and I found this site really helpful. It gives you the programs by region and they and they all have the French as a Foreign Language Quality Label. Hope this helps.
