Default Activities in english

Hi all,
I am french living abroad and moving back to France in 1 week. My son is bilingual and I would love him to continue speaking english once in France. I do not wish to put him in english classes but I would rather have him do an activity in english (sport, art or anything) or be part of an english speaking group at least 1h per week. We will be in the South of France. My son is 8.
Does anyone know of english speaking group for kids or any other ideas.
Thanks.
cecile

Hi Cecile,
It depends a bit on where you'll be in the south, but there are a number of US and British expat groups down there who may be looking to set up English language "play groups" or "play dates" with others. I know there is a FAWCO group in Montpelier and possibly a few groups in or near Pau.

In Cagnes sur mer, your best bet might be to contact the closest American, British or International school to see if your son could possibly join in for some of the clubs or sports activities. There may be some anglophone expat groups in the area, too - just none I'm familiar with.

I will be interested to hear if you find groups as we are looking to relocate around April to similar area (hubby and two kids 2yr and 4.5 yrs).

I can't post the URL but search for the KiddoKid website for sources of information on children's information in this area of France. (add dotcom)

Good Luck / Bon Chance!
