The two French classes you'll hear the most about are the Alliance Françaises classes and the Sorbonne language and culture classes. Both have excellent reputations, but both are pricey. Both also use pretty much the French system of language teaching - which uses lots of grammar and translation.

If you're primarily interested in speaking French, you may want to look into something like Berlitz or one of the other commercial language schools. I did an intensive one-month course at L'Institut Parisien a few years ago and really enjoyed it. The school has changed hands since I attended, but could be worth looking into simply as an alternative to the somewhat more academic AF or Sorbonne classes.
Cheers,
Bev

I've been looking at French immersion classes too. Has anyone had any experience at Institut Catholique, Apple Languages, or Accord Language School?
