Default Hi All !

There is an expat community in the Biarritz area - I'm delighted!
I'm in the process of moving from Stockholm to Biarritz and shall be needing lessons in French during autumn. As far as I can see, a couple of people on this thread are offering language training. I am wondering whether I can afford that Just how much are you charging per lesson? We are looking at 3-5 times/week AND I need to seriously shape up in business French in particular. My skills in French are slightly better than basic (used to be quite good a hundred years ago, but things have seriously deteriorated since then). I just managed to register here, so haven't got a clue yet how this forum works - technically speaking. Is there any chance you might let me know by means of private message? How does that work? Can I supply an email address on this thread? (seem to recollect while going through your contributions to this thread that that wasn't possible or desirable?). Can one get a list of members that belong to this thread and how does that work? Do you people meet for a drink every now and then? Or lunch/dinner/picnics where everyone brings some dish from their home country or some other good food?
As for info on language lessons - looking forward to any tips-hints-ideas.
Thank you!

Hi all! How are you?
The 1st hour is free in Hendaye. I charge 16 euros an hour 3-5 hours a week, the private lessons in Hendaye. If you are a group, it only costs 14 euros each, 3_5 hours a week in Hendaye. I'm a French native educated in France with a Master's degree in foreign Languages but my mother tongue is Spanish. That's why I put the Spanish flag. I've 7 years experience teaching French.
I tried to send you a private message but I couldn't because you must post a minimum of messages in the forum in order to send or receive private messages. I think you can post your email here. Mine is sevennahia@yahoo.com. I think the only way to get all members' names is to read our posts.
We haven't met yet but I'd be glad to meet you. On July, 8, I'm going to the running of the bulls in Pamplona. I'm green and I go there just to party and meet great people. Is anybody going there too?
Is there anything else I can help you with?
Cheers ans wellcome to France!

Hi and welcome to the forum.

It's not generally a great idea to leave your personal e-mail address on any open forum these days. Heavens knows the price you'll pay in spam!

Once you've posted 5 or so genuine posts, you'll get your private messaging privileges and can contact some of the thread participants that way. Until then, I see that a few folks have posted some suggestions for gathering points that you may want to check on.

Stick around, and jump in on threads as you find anything that interests you. You'll be part of the "in crowd" in no time!
Cheers,
Bev

St Jean is great for me as I don't always have a car to hand..and I can walk there

Thank you for the welcoming message, Seven!
Unfortunately, meeting will have to wait for a while, I'm still in Stockholm preparing for my transition. Can I take you up on your offer in early autumn? I'm not part of a group, but wouldn't mind joining one in case you find more students. Thank you also, for offering help - I am sure I will be in need of some advice sooner or later. Have fun in Pamplona!
Cheers! Design
