As for the Osteo-just working out a psyatic (sp?) nerve issue leftover from Oz so may be calling sooner rather than later-will see how I go with a week off running-this weather not so great for running anyway!

I am also working chez nous - so I know that feeling! I will send you my number in a private message - at least that way you can get in touch easily. I will also let you know if I am ever in Biarritz.
For the sciatica - he deals with that all the time so feel free to get in touch. One thing he see a lot is it being mis-diagnosed too so that is always interesting when people have been told that for years when it is actually something diff. So look out for my private msg for the number

Hi,
I am new to this group, but I am an American with a French husband, and I have been living in Bassussarry (a small town just outside of Biarritz) for a few years now. I would love to meet with any anglophile expat groups in the area, and/or communicate with anyone that wants to chat.

Hello and Welcome!

Would be great to try and organise a catchup with a few from the area but not sure who is still checking this thread. I could suggest that we set a date for a coffee/lunch for a weekend in November that may suit and give anyone who wants to meet in Biarritz for a catchup? Otherwise, happy to meet you anytime Margaret!

Do you want to suggest a time and date that suits you and we can hope others are available? Most times work for me-can be flexible!

Seems there are a few US expats in the area-just need to co-ordinate!

Thanks LegalOz!

Good idea - let's try to arrange a casual get-together for anyone who wants to show up. I'll suggest coffee/lunch on Sat Nov28 at noon. Can you or does anyone else suggest a location?

Also, if there is someone who wants to go but can't at this time, please suggest an alternate day and/or time since, like you LegalOz, I am free most of the time.

Great! We have liftoff! Salsa is game also! 28th is good for me-how about Bar St Jean in Les Halles area? It is a casual Tapas Bar that is near the Les Halles Markets, not expensive and we can either grab a bite or just coffee/wine/sangria whatever anyone feels like? Noon works well-I might book closer once we have a 'guesstimate' of numbers as it can fill up on a Sat and we can always add on. We are 3 at least! Any other takers? Will be nice to meet you both!

Would love to meet up. I will try to make it but I don't know Biarritz at all. Can you tell me what markers to look for?
