Hi everyone in France, my husband and I get the state pension (whooppeee) when we move to France in January will we get the pension increases in April or will our pensions be frozen at the present rate??

No you will get the increases as and when they happen. Its only when you move out of the eu to places that dont have agreements such as Canada and Australia that they get frozen

Hi maria
Don't forget to apply for your winter fuel payment this year. Once you have received it in the UK you can continue to claim it from France each year.

Yes, I was about to add that you'll lose any increases with the horrible rates of exchange we're getting now .... seemingly sinking slowly lower and lower

Hi Pat, yeah already had it this year and spent it!!! We get half each cos we're both getting the pensions. Cheers. Sent off the P85s and have informed the DWP who will send us a form to get into the French Health System, just need to rent this house out now. Looked where you are and you are the next department down to us (I think), mind you I bet thats about 200 miles away!!
