Default banking question

Hi all,

My husband found someone who wants to hire him, and he needs a RIB with his name on it (my name is not ok) to finish the process. I tried to add him to my account, but the bank (BNP Paribas) wouldn't do it without his titre de sejour or valid visa. We're kind of in between that right now though. He has the recipissé for the titre de sejour, but the visa is expired and the actual titre de sejour will take at least a couple months to show up, assuming they didn't lose the paperwork we had to mail to them (not optimistic about that).

Are there any banks that will open an account for him with his current status? Has to be a French bank. Thanks...

If you can't add him to your account, nor open an account for him at your bank, I don't think you'll be able to find another bank willing to open an account for him until he has his titre de séjour. Only other idea might be to check La Poste. They will often open an account for someone when others won't.
Cheers,
Bev

I'm actually in a similar situation right now, but the BNP Paribas didn't seem to have any issue with adding me to my wife's account with my expired visa and recipisse (not to mention numerous other documents).

I have heard the same Bev mentioned about La Poste, so that's likely a good option.

The Caisse d'Epargne, a small local one, could help I think. Also, he could try a for "non-resident" account, but that may mean an initial deposit
