Small house wanted south midi pyrenees

Looking for a small house to rent in the southern area of midi pyrenees. I have a small dog (Yorkshire Terrier). A house with garden and parking for longer term rental if possible. I am sorry to repeat my thread but I made a mistake on the original one (stated Languedoc instead of Midi Pyrenees! and don't know how to remove it now!! If anyone has or knows of anything I would be very grateful to hear.

Hi, thank you for your reply. I am now down near Tarbes and would like to find something in this area. I haven't looked on the map but I think you are further north? I have so far covered 3000 miles on my travels and have well and truly lost that bug! How far from hear do you think you are?

We are about 2 1/2 hours from tarbes 240 k or so

A little too far for now I think but thanks for your reply anyway. Hope you find someone suitable. I have found temporary accomodation for the time being but might be in touch another time on the off chance!

glad to see you found somewhere. We live just outside Tarbes so if you want to drop in for a coffee/glass of something sometime (my wife works from home........damn computers) just shout. If you need any help, information about the area, again, just shout.

Hi Riggie, thanks for your reply. I am staying near Tries sur Baisse how are you both settling into life in france? It's pretty cold eh? But its beautiful and I have no complaints. Where do you stay? Appreciate your invite, Alison

We live between Tarbes and Rabastens, about 15 minutes from Trie. We have well settled in, been here three years now, took up skiing back along and love the winters as much as the summers.
You are right about the cold........minus 11 here yesterday morning, although the whole region is subject to micro climates and friends about 15 kilometres away can't understand the extremes we sometimes experience where we are.

I use a good English speaking dentist in Trie but don't know about doctors as I use one near here and he only speaks French.
There is quite a large expat community around Trie but I haven't been that involved with many as I have been told by several that it is/can be quite 'cliquey'..........each to their own, but I can't be doing with that sort of thing and am more interested in integrating with the local population.
I expect you have found the English shop (nice people) in Trie by now as well.
