Default Is this homestay real?

Hello everyboy, as my search to find suitable, and real, housing goes in Paris before I arrive, I am now looking for homestays in Paris because I decided that what I wanted with this year abroad is to immerse myself in the language. So I discovered this homestay page: Homestay Paris-Homestay France
In the 'about' section it says that it is advertised in the etudiantdeparis.fr | Etudiant de Paris : le site de TOUS les étudiants de Paris and Budget Travel | Travel Deals, Travel Tips, Travel Advice, Vacation Ideas sites. I've never done a homestay before but the process seemed almost too easy, with them finding me a family almost instantly before I pay anything, and the registration fee to confirm afterwards is about $200, and rising thanks to the dollar/euro exchange rate. So if anybody has any experience with this or has their input on this homestay advice please let me know, immediately as I am leaving within a week to Paris and they are telling me that I need to pay by 5pm paris time today, the 19th.

Hard to tell if it's real. They offer a Skype address, you could think up some questions, see if you can get them on Skype, and judge by gut feel.

The "we need your money by 5pm today" bit worries me a bit.

Default Homestay in Paris

Hello,

I confirm, this is real.
I spent 6 months with a French family last year (I had the best time of my life with them) in Paris and if I remember correctly I used a site called “Homestay In Paris” (homestay-in-paris dot com). The service is straight forward, they are very friendly, responded to queries in timely manner...
Cheers!

Perhaps their request for you to pay by 5 PM Paris time (rapidly approaching) is simply the result of you needing accommodation, as you say, "within a week." Likely there is paperwork to be done and people to be paid.

Best of luck.

Ray
