Default Would like a friend in France!

Hi!
I'm Sue, in my forties and currently living in Lancashire with my partner and our three young children. We are hoping to move to France in the next 12 months and are currently exploring regions in the south west, looking at property/schooling /job prospects etc, and I would love to have an expat buddy to correspond with, someone who has made the move and could offer help and advise, or just to talk about the weather! Having contact with someone there already would go a long way to making our dream a lot more achievable!
Regards, Sue.

There's actually no reason why you can't correspond with all of the current French expats here on the board. We're not all located in the south west, but as you'll see there are lots of folks with information and experiences to share.

Welcome to the Expat Forum in any event.
Cheers,
Bev

Hey there,
I have discovered recently a mobile app (it also exists on Facebook) : Rezoto. It's in french only but quite simple to use. You can organize or join simple get-togethers. I am in Paris and it is not yet very active but I already used it twice and I met few french guys, very nice !
Try it and tell me what you think about it !
Anyway can be a good way to meet new people in France.
cheers !

Hi!
Thanks to all who have responded to my request. I'm very new to this forum and it's the first time I've attempted to 'reach out' to people across the Channel and I'm looking forward very much to corresponding with new friends! So pleased there are kind and considerate people out there!
Kind Regards to all,
Sue.
