Default Car Breakers in France required.

Hi Everyone,

We are trying to locate a Gearbox for a Renault Scenic 1.4
(Gearbox Code: jh3106 - Manual 1.4 Petrol 16v Fuel Injected)

We have had no luck here in the Uk, so if anyone can help us find one in France we would be very grateful.

Perhaps we could reciprocate the favour by giving someone a lift or bringing something from the UK when we visit to collect the gearbox.

Many thanks in advance.

Regards,

Martin Bailey

Hi Martin

If you're the Isere or Savoie Martin Bailey, try MAS in Pont de Beauvoisin they're just after the SuperU on teh RN to Chambery.

Hi Minesthechevy,

Thanks for the reply, but i'm afraid I don't understand what you have written. You may have me confussed with someone else.

Is MAS a Car breaker? If so do you have some contact details for them?

Regards

Martin

I know a guy called Martin Bailey who lives somewhere round here (near Voiron, Isere). Obviously not you.

Yes, MAS is a breakers yard, but Im sorry I dont have their contact details.

You might also try AutoPieces in Voreppe near Grenoble.

Thanks Minsthechevy,

To be honest, i'm actually after a bit more help. I don't speak French & I cannot find any Scrap Yard Dealer network in France like we have in the UK.

So what i'm really after is someone to find a gearbox for me. I am prepared to pay a finders fee or return a the favour for someone who wants something brought over from the UK.

I know i'm asking a lot but we are out of options in the uk.

Many thanks in advance.

Regards,

There is only one on Ebay.fr, its currently at €800 - and that's for a 1.9, so maybe it wouldnt be even compatible.

Im sorry, I just have not got the time to go chasing atm - best of luck though.....
