Default Married Couple seeking work South of France

What we are after (Min 46 female/Rich 49 yr Male) is a work opportunity in the South of France. Now we have seen a Housekeeper/Gardner role for both us offering accomodation/meals free and an income of 300 euros a week for us both. This opportunity would be required next year and onwards as Rich retires early at 50 next year. We would need to bring our Cocker Spaniel with us and could really do with working part time. Working as a Housekeeper/Gardner at a chateau , hotel , campsite or similar would be ideal.

Where do we look for other opportunities like the one mentioned ?
Are there many opportunities ?
We quite like the idea of this but are there any pitfalls ?

This would really be like a working Holiday but for 3/4/5/6 months April-October.

Also being close to the beach is essential for our down time.

Any advice welcomed

Interesting. My husband and I have a property in south of France and the property is needed some work before we move in 2014. We need handy man/care taker be ready by spring time. Dog is no problem. Tell me more about your skills or backgroud. Do you also speak French? At least six months work, be fair the truth, during the time, we are also looking for local couples but of course, $$ is not the same what you want the package. AND I prefer somebody speaks English, as my French is

There are lots of websites advertising summer work in France. They are usually geared towards younger people though (gap year etc). Still have a look at the following websites, you might find just what you are looking for: Natives or ResortJobs

Le Bon Coin is a free classified listings website, usually with jobs listed too

And you can also look on the Pole Emploi website.
You don't have to have a social security number. Some of the companies advertising on there show their contact details in the listing.
