MED-IA is on a distinguished road

Default local incoming tel-Nos and local postal addresses for remailing services?

local incoming tel.-Nos and local postal addresses for remailing

I am searching for some usual Virtual Incoming telephone Numbers, or Direct Inbound Dial (DIDs) that can be forwarded to any other line:
In New York City (212 area code), Los Angeles (310 area code), one in Paris, France and may be some in Singapore, Asia.
Also I need a fixed usual postal street address there to get mail (letters/parcels) for me and my wife. This mail collecting service - maildrop - (inbound mail) for redirection to changing target addresses is usually made for larger amounts e.g. companies. As a travelling student, there are only a few sendings per month for mail fowarding. The problem is that many of these service providers are very expensive with fixed rates, because of there commercial client target, and often the postal street addresses are not very human friendly. Easy street names are evident. Is someone outside knowing with own experience about frequent travellers services when there is no own secretary or familiy that can handle these things?

I know there are mailbox services available in Paris (or were a few years ago), though I can't seem to find the rubric in the Pages Jaunes to call them up. As you said, most package reception and forwarding services are oriented toward small businesses. The personal mailbox services would probably give you a box number rather than a street address, though. For the US, it should be relatively easy to find a mail forwarding service online.

As far as virtual phone lines in specific areas, go for Skype. I've had a US number on their SkypeIn program for a couple of years now and it works just great. You get voicemail, plus you can forward incoming calls to another number or take them on your computer (or a Skype phone if you have one). Last time I renewed, it was 50€ per year per number and you get to pick your own number from the list of available numbers.
Cheers,
Bev
