I can't even begin to describe the frustration I feel. I still don't have the paperwork I need from the Alliance Francaise. Unfortunately here in Korea, Campus France requires the original acceptance letter be sent to them.

Between my girlfriend and I we paid 2840 Euros for those classes and it's been nearly two months and still can't get the paperwork we need, it seems beyond ridiculous. I've been holding out hope that it will all work out in the end but I'm seriously convinced we will never even see those acceptance letters from the Alliance Francaise.

Seriously, what am I even supposed to do at this point?

I thought I'd give an update on where we are at as of today with the Alliance Francaise.

Today I finally received my original certificate! My girlfriends however is still not here, I wouldn't be at all surprised if they just simply didn't send it.

We were excited at first that at least one of us was able to get the certificate from the Alliance Francaise finally, that is..... until I took a closer look at it. The idiots at Alliance Francaise managed to print the wrong name on the certificate!!! I don't know how this could get any worse at this point.

Default **update**

Just an update here. This week I was able to schedule my appointment with the Houston consulate! It is not until July 16th, however I just received my original letter in the mail from Alliance Francaise, so I might be able to move my appointment up to an earlier date!

jo3c00l, I am sorry that you are having difficulty with Alliance Francaise. I hope that you were able to get a hold of them on Friday last week.

I will update after my VISA appointment in July, to let everyone know the final outcome.

If you're reading this thread and have any questions about the process, please let us know!

Best of luck,
~Stacy

Good luck, Stacy. Sounds like you've got everything lined up. Will look forward to hearing the final outcome. Let me know if I can help with any feedback on anything.

Finally a big breakthrough!

Having a friend going in to Alliance Francaise didn't work out, even they couldn't manage to come away with the correct certificates. But luckily Campus France said they would accept copies if the Alliance Francaise would email them directly with proof of admission as well. To top it off, today a bunch of appointments opened up at the consulate and I was able to move my appointment forward way ahead of the 4-5 weeks they say it takes to July 13th. Now just need to cross my fingers they issue you me a visa! Can't believe it might work out after all

Hello all - just a quick update. I had my VISA appt in Houston on Monday. Everything seemed to go well. Now I just have to wait for it to come via UPS. I have checked the tracking number several times a day since Monday! :-) Ha ha! Once I get everything via UPS, I'll send a final update on the end result. Thanks again for your help elmohassel, and joec00l give us an update as well!

I had my appointment last Friday, went well for me too. I wish I had a tracking number but the consulate in Seoul provides their own shipping, maybe they will email me the number when it's finished. Supposedly it takes four weeks here, it's going to be a long four weeks waiting.

Great news - glad you've both been able to navigate to the end of the process. Not fun, but I expect it will be worth it. Hope to meet you both in Toulouse soon!
