No data - then you can hardly expect a decent valid answer.It will depend on what type of standard of living you have had.

Yes - not a very concise question as of course there are som many variables. But from personal experience I think that the cost of living is comparative to that in the UK.

There are significant changes in life-style (depending on where you end up) for example I use my car a huge amount more than I did in London, but don't have a mortgage to pay. I don't pay as much to eat out or drink, but I think meat is more expensive in the supermarkets. There are not as many 'tempatations' to spend money here as there was in London (thank goodness) and as 'fashion' does not matter as much and people take you at face value - you don't need to worry about wearing the latest threads either.

I know this is not scientific - but we live off considerable less than we earned in the UK and have a very comfortable lifestyle.
