What are some good newspapers in France? Do you subscribe to any newspapers right now? How much do the newspapers cost?

Hi!

How good is your French ? For some you really need to be quite fluent - even for many French a paper like " Le Monde " is difficult to read.

What is a good newspaper?

It would help to know what you have been reading?

Do you want a national newspaper?

What type of information are you looking for?

Do you want a local newspaper?

Most newspapers in France have a politcal trendancy - most of them are rather left wing.

Suggest you try the add-ons on Google, where you can get most of the " important " newspapers.

Start reading the articles, and they you can buy a paper copy.

Here you will find details to subscribe, or you can consider the following page:

abonnement journaux - Recherche Google

If you subscribe normally you should get quite a discount, and a " present "

Yours,

pomhorn

PS. To few Expats subscribe a French newspaper - In all cases you should subscribe a local newsaper ( usually theyare published on a weekly basis ) - they you have a mine of infirmation on what is going on locally.

Hello,

If you are a sport fan, "l'Equipe" is a very popular one and it is the sport newspaper in France.

There is "Le Figaro" which is more on the right wing side and "Liberation" which is more on left wing side and of course, depending where you live, you will have the local newspaper wich could be interesting to see what is happening in your region.

Fortunately, there is no tabloid daily newspaper similar to "the Sun"

If you find the French papers a bit 'dry' and just want to read in English, then I suggest you check out The Connexion newspaper. It is monthly, written in English but very much for the expat market - so addresses issues of importance to us.

Just a thought...
