OK more about the OP, I joined this forum a few months back, I am 16 and MtF.

I started College recently, after that I was thinking of applying to a local university and thought 'Wait, you can apply to a university wherever you want really' So that is my big plan at the moment, finnish my 1 year and a half course and apply to the University of Phoenix.

I hav talked about this with people, I know that I will need a Student visa, which will be invalid once I finnish my course, But I also know that If I was to apply for a job (specific to my qualifications) The employer can sponser you. If that fails, apply or a Job Visa :P Though, I'm not sure if a hospital will sponser me, a soon-to-be qualified nurse.

I am looking towards work in either Switzerland or Australia.
At the age of 40-45 my wife and I are thinking this would be the best time to take our teen and tween girls on a bit of an adventure.

In the early part of 2011 I should be releasing from the Canadian Navy (after 17 years service) and that is when my MBA in consulting will be completed.

Any useful advice; pro Swiss, pro Aussie, would be appreciated.

First visited New Zealand in 1998 as part of a round the world holiday. We liked what we saw and said we would move to NZ as soon as we could.

Our plans are to use the maximum time permitted in collecting our residence visas to delay moving until September 2010 then having a short holiday visiting my sister (who's already got her IRRV), other friends and the parts of NZ we missed out on back in 1998.

My wife needs to return to the UK in order to complete her final six months of her job to collect her full pension. While I'll stay on to find a job (if I haven't found one in the meantime) and starting building our new life.

I hope in 2 years when my course is complete I will be able to fins work and apply to stay longer, we will see what happenes. For the time being I am just happy to be getting away from here, sick of being made redundant!

I am very new to this forum. I just turned 26 years old and am looking into best practices in the possibilities of becoming an expat of the United States.

I am nearing completion of my Masters of Science in Banking and not exactly sure where I want to go. I have never been overseas but enjoy the idea of living in the UK, Australia, or somewhere else where English is the primary language as I don't have a working knowledge of anyother language at this time.
