Hello all.

I am moving to Glyfada for 1-2 years probably beginning of january. I have secured a job and am hopefully close to agreeing rental charge for an apartment. I have read up on cars and I think I'm going to have to find a cheap car nearer the time, can anyone suggest the expected price?

I am looking forward to the move, will be studying for extra qualification when I am there.

Can anyone review there experiences of such a move?

If you are new to Rhodes you might want to take a look at these new (to me anyway) websites.

The first is a very informative website from an American lady living in Athens. Aimed mostly at US expats but some good links and interesting info here - livingingreece.gr

The second is a good new site for expats in Rhodes. Quite a lot of what's on and general info about Rhodes here - livinginrhodes.com

For Lindians there is also the lindosforum.com site.

Happy browsing!

I am finally returning to Greece in December after 5 years away and would like to go to school to learn Greek again as I have totally forgotten everything! I will be living in Volos and am wondering if there are any free schools or if all Greek lessons must be private, i'm sure if you can learn for free in other places like athens or salonica you must be able to do so in volos so any experiences would be greatly appreciated! Thanks very much, caroline

also i have a two year old son and would love to meet any other mums with young ones in the area
