Greetings-

I am an American expat who has recently moved to Lyon with my wife, who has taken a Post-Doctoral position at a local university.

I am also looking to work, but have difficulty since I am not fluent in French. I am currently taking evening classes at the Alliance Française, and am supplementing those classes with the Rosetta Stone computer language training. However, it will be some time before I will be fluent enough to perform adequately in a completely French speaking work environment.

I am curious if anyone knows of any companies in the area which may be hiring employees for English language positions?

I am not searching for a strict set of positions, as my previous work experience runs the gamut from Bartender, to Information Technology Support, to Purchasing Agent Assistant for the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics. I am skilled in many areas and m a quick learner at just about any task or duty given to me.

I have also spent a majority of my adult life as an artist which has granted me the chance to do art and design by commission. This has included artwork for musicians, as well as descriptive technical drawings for submission to the U.S. Patent Office.

As the spouse of a visiting researcher, I am in in possession of the Scientist Spouse Carte de Sejour, which allows me the immediate right to work in France.

Thank you for your time!

I am a native English speaker from the U.S. and seeking any available career opportunities in France. Ideally, I am looking for full-time salaried employment but am very open to part-time and internship opportunities.

I have over four years experience in respected and established advertising agencies with prominent clients. Currently, I work in Account Service at a full service advertising agency. In the last three years, I have risen to a position of leadership, and established myself as a strong, critical team member. My role requires me to be a main point of contact for multiple clients on a day-to-day basis and establish strong relationships with clients. I am a self-starter who works independently with minimal supervision, executing multi-tiered, integrated marketing communication plans. I manage deadlines and profitability of my projects.

Though my area of expertise is in advertising, my skills and capabilities are transferable to many other industries. I have exceptional project management, strategy development, business writing, presentation, and research and analysis skills.

I am a hard worker with the capacity to adapt to new environments and handle demanding responsibilities. I strive to be an integral team member who not only produces excellent work, but also brings a unique and beneficial perspective to the table.

In our global economy today, I believe it is essential to gain international exposure and companies to promote truly international and diverse work environments. I have both studied abroad and traveled in Europe. My family were expats for many years in India. I am looking to move to France, which is such a beautiful country with wonderful people; and I am actively learning French. I have many close friends in France which will help tremendously with becoming a fluent French speaker and adjusting to live in France.

I look forward to hearing from everyone about potential opportunities and advice. I am working very hard to find a position in France and would appreciate any help given. Also, I will forward my resume to those who request it.

Thank you.
