Don't seem to get many buglars coming for dinner for some reason. Rocky is a virgin (though he has tried it a few times with his sapce-hopper - before he ate it).
All the local lasses (or Lassies perhaps) are eaithe mangy soi muts or pamperred pooches you could fit in a hat box - he would probably break them - puppies would be strange that's for sure.

KhwaamLap,

If you and Rocky were a bit more hospitable you would have more "invitees" for dinner. Well, at least Rocky would. Since he would have to chase down his dinner he probably wouldn't develop those unsightly doggy love handles that all dogs hate, either.

When Rocky wakes up to his "needs" it won't matter a whit if that lass or lassie is a mangy soi dog - she WILL get mounted! And Rocky will find out it's FUN.

KL, perhaps I should move in next door... This is not our Mastiff right now, sadly Nina gave up the ghost a couple of years ago, but Chloe is the same breed and roughly the same size, weighing in around 80 kg currently... can't find a photo of her right now, so this is Nina...

That's a DOG? Looks more like a horse! Glad I don't have to feed him/her. Probably cost more to feed the dog than me.

She's a small for a female Mastiff - and the males often weigh in around 100kgs - 120kgs

Actually they are not particularly expensive to feed, they're lazy, a couple of miles' walk does them fine, and they eat no more than say a German Shepherd, in my experience (I've had 3 Mastiffs and a Newfoundland cross in recent years)...

Think of the money you can save on tuk tuks. At 100-120 kg. you could ride your pup to town. I'm sure burglars or uninvited 'guests' aren't particularly a problem either. If they were they would make good snacks.

Here's a clip I found on You Tube I think many will enjoy. It's Swan Lake - Chinese style - and it is very impressive. Enjoy!

Highly impressive, but I'm not so sure about the circus-style choreography. You can easily imagine the Chinese, when they get the right balance of athleticism and aesthetics, surpassing our own artistes in all areas, simply because of their physical make-up.

KhwaamLap,

Most productions of Swan Lake I've seen are boring. The Chinese version was anything but boring. The gymnastic feats of the one dancer were most impressive. I'll take that version of Swan Lake anytime. She was pretty cute too!

I actually like the ballet - I saw Swan Lake played by the Bolshoi (Nina Semizorova and Mark Peretokin - wife and husband!) and it was incredible. I watched the clip and was impressed with the acrobatics of the main dancer and her supporter, but it was that really (with Tchaikovsky - or perhaps Riccardo Drigo - playing in the background). The supporting ballerinas seem heavy footed and lacking in ideas and just there to make the scene fit the original act as far as I can gather - and that guy standing behind the main couple waiting to catch her if she falls is just wiered (how that fits in with the story I'm not sure)

I prefer the original - and the Bolshoi and the best there is at it:
