Yep - 4 beds, one for me and the dog, one for the kids (they will not be separated!), one for the MIL and the spare. Also got a maids room, but you csn't get at that from inside the house (has it own bathroom too).

Strangely enough, no. But postman will only deliver parcels by throwing over the fence!

Much to big to be a mozzie (thank god!). I think it some kind of giant mill-worm after cocoon stage. Didn't seem hungry at all, just sat there looking at me. MIL 'broomed' it off the step when I was putting the camera away - very Buddhist!

I think I've seen them fried in the Night Bazaar!

Ok, one for you and the dog. Got it. One for the kids. That seems reasonable. What's confusing is the one for the MIL. Is there a wife in there somewhere? Surely you don't want missing body parts by calling your significant other a dog! Those body parts CAN be difficult to re-attach properly! So I have to arm wrestle the maid to bunk at Casa Rosada, huh?

Yes, Mrs is in with me - but she's in the UK at the moment earning the bread to keep me in Singhas
That's why the MIL is here - cooking and cleaning.

And making sure her farang doesn't stray! When the wife returns to LOS it will be you and the dog in the dog house, eh?

For beer, I prefer Tsing Tao or Kirin. Much smoother. I never did think much of the Thai beers - too much like that pee water we have here in America with a bit of a bite to it. I'd rather a nice red table wine but I understand it's expensive in Thailand. I sure had a great wine in Vietnam and it was very cheap - even by my standards. I bought a bottle on my last visit - at the airport which is notoriously expensive for everything - for under $2.00 Wish I could have lugged more home.

As with everything in Thailand, if its imported its expensive. Thai red wine can be quite good - and quite bad - its fairly cheap (but a bottle of Thai whisky is cheaper). I liked Red Valley, but can't find it here any more. You can always drink German or British larger (beer to you) - available here.

I prefer Chang, but like to treat myself with it, so generally drink Singha (and Mekong).

And then running for his life as if the "Hounds of Hell" were on hot on his heels? Your pooch doesn't look like he's missed many trips to the dog bowl.

KhwaamLap,

Hopefully your pooch has a sweet tooth for burglars and other cretins as well.

Chasing postmen just keeps those unwanted doggy pounds down and him in prime form for his primary objective - escorting attractive young female canines around the 'hood' and showing them a really, really good time!
