Austraila Here We Come

Hello all and one.
This is my first time , not too painful I hope.
I am 40 some thing and the good lady is late 30 some thing as well. .
We have a 15 year old son ( 16 in November ).
I am over 44 so we need to go on my partners back (so to say).
She has just taken her last charted accountancy exams this week.

The Q's we have at the mo are.

1. Is a migration company needed. Or is it some thing we can do our selves ?

2. Is it worth taking over belongings (house hold) as it will cost over £3000 + any storage and poss quarantine inspection £££ to get there and as all furniture in our house is 5 years or older ? .
Stuck on a ship for 6 weeks and then at dry dock for x amount of time .

3. What Visa's do we apply for

4. Does having a brother and his wife and 8 aunts and uncles and all the
cousins go any way to help applying

5. Is it worth having a medical before we apply for a visa .

Perth is where we want to go , we have been there twice on hols ' Is it worth going again with a view to live there this time ' or just save our money ?
These are some of the things that are running though our minds at the mo and any help would be very helpful to us.

I love South Australia. We've been here 11 months now and we feel really settled in. I still miss family and friends every so often but Skype is wonderful and I can see people while chatting to them.

Jpiers, you've been into several different forums - where are you based and where are you looking to move to? Or haven't you decided yet
