Hi All

Did you see Question Time last night below are my Views.

What the population of this country seem to forget is we can make change. We can keep the Bnp out. How if everybody of voting age voted then the few votes that the Bnp and other small parties would get would be to low as to cause any trouble.

Make it law that everybody votes in local and national elections and the situation should change!

Australia have the right idea. This is our county you obey our system if you do not like it then get out somewhere else.

Peter

Since seeing last nights programme/kangeroo court/propaganda exercise, with a censured and hand picked audience, I realise even more that the UK people no longer have freedom of thought or speech. They are brain washed and unable to listen to other viewpoints or accept anything that the vocal minority dont like. So I will go out of my way to go back to the UK and vote for the BNP! I dont wanna hear the bad publicity about their history, anymore than I wanna hear the bad publicity about the other parties history! I would have liked to have heard about their policies, cos hell, they cant be as bad as the shower we have now or their cloned alternatives!!

I wont say anymore on the subject as its very contraversial and will get nasty if we're not careful. I guess we should respect the mods (That'll be me then lol) on here and the other members and keep the tone civilized and friendly

What an uninformed viewpoint - one that for me leaves little room for respect - mod or otherwise. Surely a moderators job is to moderate and not to make personal judgements about subjects that they go on to prove that they know nothing about?

I'm also a person and have views, but yes I should have kept them to myself, but its difficult sometimes. All I wanted to say is that I wish the man had been allowed to say what his policies and manifestoes are likely to be and you're right I know absolutely nothing about politics at all! Anyway I'll make no further comment!!

I am with you Jojo, I truly believe that UK citizens have lost their identity; I also believe that the so called minorities have learn so well how to play the game, that the British are struggling to live in their own country. Not all foreigners are bad, but I will chance saying that at least 50% of them are coming for a free ride. I also believe that your place has a moderator, concerns to make sure that the forum rules are applied, and definitely you are entitled to your opinion, or else should we stop all the moderators’ opinions on this forum??? I don´t think so. So please I will appreciate if you carry on giving us your opinions, not only on matters without really value but also at the ones where real problems are happening, and someone has the courage to put the issue for discussion. I believe that is what friendship is all about, giving our honest and truly opinions and advice.

I have just seen a taped copy of this programme and was appalled at the "set up" I believe it was a hand picked audience and sadly this proved to me that free speech is not alive and well in the U.K however on saying that as expats we should be thankful that we are allowed to live and work in a foreign country generally without harassment from politicians

Thats what I was trying to say in my first post, but I was so angry about it, it came out all wrong!!! BNP aside, I think freedom of speech in the UK has eroded away and is getting less and less acceptable as time goes on! Unfortunately/fortunatatley they cant take away freedom of thought and eventually something will blow - as it has done in oppressed countries throughout history!

There was a ban a couple of weeks ago on the Guardian (I think) on reporting a parliamentary debate, thankfully they got it over ruled, not that I read it but I believe that the U.K should uphold its free speech stance. Those of us that live under a dictatorship know what it is like to be "monitored" and the press being censored and it is not a good thing.

I agree with you! I've not lived under a dictatorship, I wouldnt like it cos I'm not good at being told what to do etc. But sometimes I feel Britain is being conned by the government and the media. They're manipulating us and producing propaganda so that we do actually end up being brainwashed into thinking what they want us to!?
