I had my car towed away in Oslo earlier this year.

When I went to get it back there was a London bus next to it that had also been clamped and towed!

Actually i spoke with the owner last week. So I'll write up a bit more. The bus is his business he rents it out for practically anything, he even does pub crawls around phoenix in it.

The bus is older (1983 Leyland) it had to be either new or older than 25 years to get it into the USA legally, apparently a new bus would have cost him around a million dollars. The bus was purchased in London and driven up to Liverpool and loaded onto a ship. Five weeks, 2 oceans and one Panama Canal later the bus was unloaded Port Hueneme, north of Los Angeles and driven to its new home in Phoenix, LA.

It was immediately painted the traditional london tourist bus red from its orginal green and white. Since then he has had it fitted out with air conditioning.

$100 an hour for private hire
