Tips on losing weight needed

I went on the Atkins diet six years ago and lost six stone in 10 months, I've never gone back to eating high carb stuff such as sugar, flour or starches and I've kept the weight off, no problem - best thing I ever did

I lost 40kgs in 13 months, but I don't recommend that diet to anyone....

(I'm now 102KG, but could do with losing another 10-15. Trouble is I like beer!!)

A good dose of Malaria did the trick for me, didn't feel too clever during the actual Malaria part though.....mind you I looked fit as a fiddle 2 weeks later.

Since 2000 I have lost 140 lbs. Went on WW for about 8 months, stopped going but kept up the "program". Don't believe in surgery, though it did wonders for my sister who had tried absolutely everything to lose weight!! I do need to exercise and that is my goal - to try and do something "exercise-y"!!

I still eat what I want, when I want, though some things are "lower" fat. And I can still have my beer!! LOL!!!

Although I am not vastly overweight I do need to lose some, as much to get my cholesterol down as anything else.
My doc says I need to get off my butt and do some exercise and vut down on fats.
So I will make the effort too and we can keep tabs on each other.
Maybe with a bit of support from each other we can succeed.

And wine and anything alcohol, nothing wrong with an alcohol diet just don't eat anything the next day and thats easy if you've got a hangover

kaz...any chance of getting a support 'sticky thread', this way smokers and dieters could go there instead of having to sort through different post and threads. Just a thought!
