Default Vision testing

By any chance, have you had your vision checked there and gotten glasses? I am wondering how easy it is to get an appointment and if glasses are worth getting there...or should I take care of this before I leave the states?

Can anyone give me an idea of how much we should be paying for electricity - currently our spend is 300le for a month, 2 bed apartment, quite large, air con on at night only, fridge, tv, ipod, lights etc - we think that this is a bit expensive when a previous comment mentioned only paying 40le per month - many thanks

No need to get your vision tested before you come, eye care here is good.

The last time I had mine tested it cost 90LE..

Frame prices.. well that depends on what you want to spend.

I buy my frames from 20l20 as I find that much cheaper than the big names,

As I have said it will depend on many factors... you have a large apartment and you are running aircon...plus other white goods.

For me 300 a month is nothing... you are talking about 10 le a day!!!

I pay quite a lot.. I use a lot of white goods, my meter has been checked twice.. perhaps people that pay very little are not paying enought?

Sounds a little high, from what you have said I would have thought 200-250 LE. Can't take one month in isolation though, you need to average out three or four due to inconsistencies in meter reading.

I just got a new "ambuba" (gas canister, for cooking). I paid LE5 for the last one, about 3 or 4 months ago. No, I don't cook much This last one cost LE15. That's a massive increase!
