I have used Dr. Reham for the last couple of years. She is a paediatrician, used to work in Sinai Clinic but gone independently now, her office is in Il Mercato.

South Sinai hospital in general I would recommend for general emergencies. It is clean, modern, well equipped, nice staff and actually feels more like a hotel from the reception area!

Default Nile Hospital Hurghada.

I have used the Nile hospital ENT dept several times in the last 6 weeks for a perforated eardrum. Each visit was quick and easy, and the doctors spoke pretty good English. I paid 80le for the first visit, which entitled me to several follow up visits, I just wandered round to the ENT dept and with my registration card, and got to see the Doctor, no waiting.
First visit was under one hour from apartment back to apartment, including waiting for taxi time. Impressive I thought. Take passport to register. All was clean and modern.

Nile Hospital also has a pretty good womens doc (obst/gyn) Dr Ahmed. Excellent english, very knowledgeable - almost as good as talking to my doc back home.

For interest, both the Nile and Al Gouna International do a full health screening programme - works out about 800LE if you are resident. I found out I had a rather large gall stone.

El Gouna, no need for an appointment, (we turned up at 19.45) but the ultrasound doc is in Cairo until (I think)Tuesday next week. Best phone to check times first, and don't forget the passport.
Don't actually know that you can't have one in Nile, I didn't do the research, but we are using El Gouna ( and we live in Hurghada)

I can recommend El Gouna hospital. I have lived here for seven years so regularly get my eyes tested there. I have had fillings and two crowns done on my front teeth at the dentist. The crowns were LE800 each a few years ago. Had mammograms, ultrasound, smear test. Free bone density test. The lab is very good for blood tests. A friend of mine spent a week being decompressed in the chamber. One friend collapsed in the marina feeling very unwell and she was diagnosed with an eptopic pregnancy and operated on a few hours later. Couple of friends have also had face lifts!

The hospital has their own website.

Hi, we have a 4 year old little boy and move to Cairo in 30 days. How far away is this Dr. Reham pediatrician and do you have a phone number and address? It would be much appreciated.
