I have to be honest and maybe speaking out of turn, but I wouldnt dream of putting my personal phone number on an open forum, nor would I ever phone a phone number I may come across on there either - there are all manner of strange folk out there and not just people who are registered on here, anyone can see it. What do you hope will happen??

. The best thing to do is to actually strike up a friendship on the forum, you can get to know a bit more about people on here - ok, it may not be perfect, but you can gleen alot of info about people by posting. The next step would be to send them a PM (personal message) and strike up more conversations and more info. Eventually - then maybe you can swap phone numbers or meet (always in a safe enviironment)

So for heavens sake DO NOT put your phone number on here! If you havent made up enough posts to use the PM, then maybe you should be chatting on here til you have, that way you get to know more people and they get to know you a bit better!


Have you got any idea how dreadful the forum would feel if it transpired that someone was raped, murdered, sold........ purely cos their phone number was found on here - by someone who was surfing the net and pretended to be a name from here???

Jo, any woman who lives in Egypt should be well aware of how the system works here, if they find a phone number you get inundated with unsolicited calls .
I cannot for the life of me think why anyone would give out their number in here.

What worries me is that those who do it are showing their naivity and actually encouraging trouble. I cant think what a phone number can achieve - apart from prank calls and trouble.
