Default where to live??

hi all,

finally arrived this morning at 1am and in the office at 9, welcome to Dubai eh?? ha ha

My new office is located around Festival City, it feels quite out of it but i guess ill get used to it.

If anyone is familiar with this part of town would they be able to advise on best place to live? I am a single 29yr old lad from London that wants somewhere nice, with shops and bars not too far away. Any help on this would be a huge help guys

Look forward to seeing everyone on the 25th

Cheers

Dean

Hi Dean

Welcome to Dubai!

Considering where you work and your requirements, consider the following areas:

Deira (creekside/Port Saed)
Garhoud
Oud Metha
Bur Dubai
Old Town

You will soon settle in.

Thanks Elphaba, ill look into those areas, i have heard that Bur Dubai, whilst busy, is central and lots to do and Creekside sounds nice. I am not too woories about traffic, coming from London, so a 30-40 min commute doesn't bother me but ill certainly look into the areas you have suggested, thx for the tip!

Look forward to meeting up soon

Dean

Welcome to Dubai! I totally understand what you mean about loving this place! I came out here on my own and I absolutely love it here! Only been here 3 weeks (nearly!) but I already know that I will be happy here & will certainly be here for a good few years. It certainly helped that I have got the most mazing work colleagues ever and that we all get on! Now, I just need to convince my other half that Dubai is THE place to be right now!!!
