Default Accommodation Nightmare

Hi,

I am arriving here on Sunday with my family coming end October. My company have just told me that they have no temporary accommodation available so I will have to stay in a hotel - the Millennium Airport. Long term I will be looking to settle in The Greens as our daughter has a place at the local school.

Work wise I have to split my time between Dubai and AD, therefore I need to find some temp accommodation/short term let until I find someting more permanent as the commute to AD will be painful.

Has anyone any experience of short term lets, hotel apartments, or anything else that would be suitable? Any help will be gratefully appreciated as the company can't do any more.

Thanks in advance

Sounds like a nightmare to me!! I too will be arriving this week - in fact tomorrow - my company will put me up in a hotel apartment called Splendid Hotel Apartment Dubai in Oud Metha. Is your company going to pay for any of the temporary accommodation? Hotel apartment tend to be a more costly solution. Mine worked out to be over £2.5k a month for a one-bedroom apartment with B&B but my company pays for it? Try also dubizzle.com which has adverts on short term lets.

Bhomes.com also does short term rentals but as has already been pointed out, they can be quite pricey. Finding accommodation can be a bit of a nightmare, as I am finding out! So stressful!!!

Good luck! I hope that you are able to find something.

there are some hotel apartments in the Greens - see the link below:

Nuran - Nuran Greens Serviced Residences

I have no idea what the prices or availability are like, but staying there would help you get to know the area. Hotel apartments are more expensive than long-term rentals but should be cheaper than a hotel if you are going to be there for a few weeks.

As Maz25 has said, bhomes.com do short term lets as well.

Good luck!
