Default Electronic appliances

Given the price for tv's and other electronic appliances in Dubai I am thinking about buying them here and sticking them in the container. Should I be aware of any differences in tv's with regards to Europe (NL) vs Dubai? Any other restrictions people know about that may want to make me change my mind?

I am looking to pay about 500 to 700 euros for a 42-50 inch plasma tv.

You will be paying comparable prices in Dubai, if not a little cheaper on most applicances that are manufactured outside of EU. I saw a 2012 51" plasma from Samsung selling for 3099 AED (US$844)...

TV will be PAL so same as in NL. And same voltage as well.

*Officially*, you should have owned your personal belongings for some time (i.e. believe recalling 6 months ?) or have to declare and pay import duties - which no one does.
