10 USD is 36.7 AED.

That's the very beginning of the price range for mains at a midrange restaurant, including the better Indian and Lebanese restaurants in the UAE.

But Ravi's is a good option for cheap meals. Some of the Indian restaurants around the square in Al Karama are also possibilities.

Schwamas and mezze dishes at Al Mallah on Al Diyafah is one of the better kept secrets in Dubai for a cheap Arabic/Lebanese meal. A schwama will cost between 6-8 AED each.

On Al Diyafah street there is also a little Iranian restaurant that has a buffet within your budget. The food is great!!! I've only been to it during lunch, but there is a sign in the window. It is on the same side of the street as Hagen Das, but for the life of me I can't recall the name.

There is also B to B which is located in the Rotana Al Maroog complex. (Behind Estialat) It's a corner cafe (near the dirt partking lot) next to the Al Maya supermarket. You can get a meal there within your budget. Large salads, manakesh, sandwiches.

But if you want to experience authentic food I suggest you try to find the Iranian restaurant.
