you need whats dubbed a "multi-plug" or a socket converter. you should be able to find one here. I am from Houston and have lots of friends that live in the states that are from Mexico and travel back and forth for vacation to Monterrey, and some other places. The pictures are pretty sweet and of course Salma Hayek and Penelope Cruz are O-SO-HOT

Make sure your laptop is rated to 220v as well (check the adapter). Let us know if you need any more info.

Oh yeah, since you asked if we wanted anything, yes bring some of those Hispanic girls over, cause MAYN I miss partying with em and going wild to Rakim y Ken-Y
You can skip the Corona cause they got it here like water! No Dos Equis tho

Hola compatriota! Saludos de una saltillense que anda por acá.

4,500 usd is good money specially if your employer is paying for your accomodation. Just to give you a rough idea, a nice room in a decent area can cost between 6,000 to 9,000 dhs per month! So is really cool you have that sorted out.

Voltage is 220 and pins are 3 plug pins like the ones in UK. I have a laptop I bought in Mexico and when I got here I just got a convertor from 2 pin to 3 pin, because the AC adapter of my laptop (dell) can be used with either 110 or 220. I just realised that when I got here, it was written on the AC adapter in little letters but I didn't read it before, lol

About sharing flat with friends of the opposite sex, is really alright as long as you keep it quiet and don't cause any trouble in your building, that could make the neighbours want to call the police.

You can drink coronas in almost any bar. Also there is an extremely decent mexican restaurant here, called Maya, at Le Meridien Hotel. You can even eat mole and barbacoa and really authentic mexican food, NOT TEXMEX!!

When you get here go to the Mexican consulate to register yourself, is already 300 of us in Dubai! Also there is going to be a party for el dia de la independencia

Here is my email, please add me to your msn or send me an email with all your questions: isabelregaladogarza@hotmail.com

Have a safe journey to the UAE!

Isabel

PS -- Hey Mazda, Penelope is not mexican, she is from Spain Still very pretty!!
