i will be working near dubai airport but living in sharjah - i think in a place called al nhada apts.

does anyone know what they are like (good or bad?)

have any links for photos - reports etc?

Hi Diana99,
Welcome to the forum.
We traveled over without major furniture, but did airfreight quite a few bits and pieces over. (kids bikes, photo albums, toys etc)
I do a lot of scrapbooking, so having all my photos and supplies here, made me feel good. Bringing kids favourite toys etc, helped them settle in.
There isnt much to cant get here, so just bring what is important to you.

I also live in Sharjah, but the other side (Ajman side)
Al Nahda has quite a few apartments, so Im not sure which ones you are moving to..If I see it in my travels, I will let you know.
You will be close to a major mall...The Sahara Centre...(just in case that is important..:

Hi Diana99

There is very little from the UK that you cannot find here. (There is a M&S not too far from the airport & Spinney's supermarket sells Waitrose branded products!)If you cannot get the exact same brand, you will find a suitable substitute. Do bring some personal effects, favourite books etc.

You will find that the range of bedding is not as good, so you may want to bring some of that over, There are companies you can use to send packages by airfreight for reasonable costs, especially as it is nicer to have quite a few of your own bits & pieces around you.
