Marriage in Dubai

Hi everyone,
just a quick question as there is a lot of conflicting info.
My fiance and I are Australian Citizens.
Are both of us required to have a residence visa to get married here?

Dunno, but your embassy in Dubai will give you all the info.

Yes both should have residence visa to get married here and you need some paper as well from ur embassy to clarify this in the court

And your embassy will give you full info about the type of docs are needed

Unless things have changed recently or Australians have different rules, the law used to say that only ONE of the two spouses needed to have been a resident of Dubai for over a year to get married...

Suggest getting in touch with your Embassy or Consulate for more accurate info!
