Moving to Dubai in September

Hello all,

I am going to be moving out to Dubai in early September. This will be my first time living in the middle east. I am currently researching the best place in Dubai to base myself for the first 6 months or so. I will be working in and around the Dubai Investment Park. Will be moving from Manchester, UK.

My first months accommodation has already been organized by the company.

Any suggestions on which areas I should be focusing my efforts in terms of accommodation thereafter ?

Hi David, firstly good luck with the move.

I too work in DIP and live in Springs area which is only 10 min drive into work but can be around 30/35 mins returning home. You'll understand when you arrive here and see the road layouts.

Depends really on your budget and what type of accommodation you're after. The Springs/Meadows area are villas.

Also in DIP (Green Community) there are some beautiful villa accommodation but not cheap.

Hi David

Will you be needing accomodation only for yourself or for you and your family? If it's just you and you're looking for a flat, look into the JLT/Discovery Gardens/Marina etc areas (depending on your budget). If you'll need family accomodation then the areas that petrolhead suggest would work for you.
