How long before your move were you under contract?

As the title says. Me and my company have decided on mid October, with firm dates of travel already discussed, but not yet booked. I still have a lot to do that I don't feel comfortable doing until I have signed my contract. So how far out were you from your move when you signed?

Hi there,
I had signed my contract before I gave my notice at my job in London and started anything! I would suggest you have the new contract signed before you start anything.

Of course I won't jump without the papers. How long from the move date did you sign your contract?

It was about 3 months, but in our case we left our house in London as it was, so our move was very easy! timing was more to do with notice at work than anything else.

I agree! Got my offer mid June and just handed in my notice today. Due to start September 1st!
