Default 3 Bed Property in The Greens

Hi,

I am moving to Dubai in September. We have got a place at a school in the Greens for our daughter so are looking for a 3 bed apartment/villa in that area. Can anyone recommend any reputable agents or know of any properties coming available, ie, a friend moving out? We have a budget of cDhs200k.

Also, any feedback on what it is like there for families with young children, ie, suitability, mother & toddler groups, etc, would be greatfully appreciated.

200k will not get you a 3br anything in the greens or surrounding areas. It might get you a 2br if you are lucky.

Area is great for family though. I live there with my man in a 1br and we pay 120k per year.

I have seen some recent ads where owners are asking in the range of
200K -210K for the 3BR in the Greens. I would say it doable. Last month the rents were in the range of 240K but I am seeing a slight downward trend in the last month. I do not live in Dubai so I do not know if the ads reflect the true rents or not.

Hmmm - I find that hard to believe. The greens is pretty expensive these days, I would wonder about the quality of 3br places if they are only 200k. Perhaps overlooking a construction site? Be very careful.

Does the school have buses that come in from other areas? It might be worth considering that, as other areas can be cheaper. Dubizzle is a great place to start to compare prices. Dubai Property Real Estate – Rent, buy or Sale Properties in Dubai, UAE Apartments and Villas with Better Homes. Manage or Invest in Dubai Property with us. Better homes (see link) seems a resonable real estate company.....although i've never actually used them, my mother-in-law found them very good. Another option is to look for a 2 bed with maids room although the maids room will be VERY small. The size of most of the accommodation in Dubai seems to be generous, so if you have 2 children of the same sex, sharing or partitioning a room could be an option for you if your heart is set on Greens. I've heard its a good area...hence the prices!! Heres a web link to a great site all about kids stuff in Dubai Welcome to DubaiKidz.Biz All the best!!

Isn't everywhere overlooking a building site?!

We need to find a place in the Greens or surrounding areas as our daughter is going to the local school and my wife doesn't drive. Rents in the paper range between 200 and 250k but there is never enough info to give you a clear picture.

Where did you see the ads? I will be working in Media City and like the look of The Greens! It looks like a really nice place and does not appear to be too far from my workplace (unless my map reading skills have failed me yet again!). They have a website as well which I just happened to stumble upon. Not much info on it though!

Have a look at eemar.com They are the developers for the Greens and may have some floorplans. Take everything you read on that site with a pinch of salt, though. You would think you were living in Paradise if you believed it all.
