Hi,
I guess in order to be able to give some helpful info you will need to be a bit more specific jobwise. A VP/Director in the role of Relationship Manager is different than an IT project manager - and again different to an Ops or Controller person. Also in terms of allowances they also depend upon your family status, i.e. married, kids etc

Regards
Lenochka

Lenochka

Am interested in getting some advice on my nego as well, if you would be so kind. My previous job was with a top-tier investment bank, derivatives salesperson to corporate and institutional clients. I am currently in discussions about a similar role in Dubai, VP/Director level. While I am still to see a number I am expecting in the region of USD 350-400k all inclusive. Is this comparable to what other bankers doing what I do would get in Dubai? Will this be able to afford me a first-rate lifestyle? I am married, with one kid just over a year old.

Rgds

hi Spaniard,
i can't be of a lot of help as I do not know the salary bands for the front office/sales areas. VP level in mid-office/ops like areas in the finance industry are somewhere in the region of 125-200 USD base, depending on company/experience. On top is housing/schooling/car allowance etc. The housing most likely also depends on family cirumstances, i.e. married/kids.

The housing is also individually from company to company, i.e some pay the whole housing, others contribute a large part but not all, some give a flat fee, some adjust annually......basically, it is very individual and a lot depends on your negotation skills.

Regards
Lenochka

Hi Lenochka

Thank you very much for your prompt reply and the reference figures for MO. After going through a lot of other threads it seems like it will be enough for a decent lifestyle so I suppose if the figure is along these lines, I may be moving to Dubai in a couple weeks.

Regards,
Spaniard
