Default Requested information on Dubai assigned person

Hi,

I am chasing for information relative to an assignment from France to Dubai. Is anyone able to clarify about tax in Dubai. Does it mean that I will have no tax at all to pay (in France and in Dubai) during my assignment in Dubai ? What about taxes to be paid upon my return to France ?
Is there a difference if I have a property in France (or not) ? Can you help ?

Thanks a lot.

There is no tax to pay in Dubai. You'd best be asking someone with a knowledge of the French tax system what your liability would be in France.

You are not subject to income tax while in DUbai, for the money you are making from your work.

However, if you still have revenues from France in France (property rent, financial revenues, etc.) you will need to get confirmation on those fro the Tax department, as rules do change.

Bear in mind also, that a lot of "tax deductible" bonuses will not be available to you anymore.

For instance, all amortization calculations for any appartment you may have purchased under Robien or Robien 2 are good to throw out the window, since the return rate is based on tax deduction.

Same for Tax deductible financial investments (PEL, Livret A, etc.)

So the basic premisses are simple : if you don't own anything and don't have anything invested, you are golden and tax free. Otherwise, do take time to check all drawers
